Dad had a pretty red buzz saw rig that mounted on the front of his WD. He and Bea's father would split logs with a mix of potash and sugar so they could buzz up firewood out of it. I never have tried to duplicate that....the law would probably call it blasting without a license and take away the farm. Grandpa had an early one man McCullough chainsaw, so they didn't have to pull on a crosscut to block up a tree for the buzz saw.
